ABOUT

Nathan Lesperance (They/She/He)

Designer, Assistant, Electrician, Programmer

Nathan is a Chicago-based Lighting Designer and current fourth year lighting design major in the BFA program at The Theatre School at Depaul University. As a well-rounded designer and technician, they are passionate about theatrical, dance, and live event lighting. Their recent production credits at The Theatre School at DePaul, include Lighting Design for Little Women and Killing of A Gentleman Defender, Assistant Lighting Design for Hurricane Dianne, and Production Electrician for Las Wavys and Indecent. Nathan’s work outside of educational theatre includes interning with BlackOak Technical Productions and a variety of overhire calls with Steppenwolf Theatre, The Goodman,  Northlight Theatre and various other storefront theatres. Nathan is passionate about learning new aspects and disciplines of lighting, communication, and problem solving. When they are not in the theatre, Nathan enjoys exploring new places, and experimenting with a variety of art mediums.
